Layer Blending

Today I began making our groups CD cover and came across an issue when I was placing the background on the text. Black text was to dark for the background and the white was to light. This cheapened all my work on the editing of the image. To resolve this problem I used the tool 'Layer Blending'. This adds a layer around the font/image of your choice. To do this i selected my text I wanted to use then made the font white. I then selected the layer the text was on & clicked 'Blending Options'. The image below shows the box that comes up when you select this. To get the effect of the outlined text I selected 'Stroke' and then changed the size to '10'.

This was then perfect as the text was clearly visible to display on the CD cover.

  1. Good review Liam, did you make a few alternate designs?

    • I will suggest you create two-three more designs and compare them with teh group and see which is most appealing.

    • Blog results please.
